Designed by the architect Henri Picq, the Cathedral stands in the heart of the old and densely embedded urban city of Fort-de-France.
Bishop Romero’s Place, facing the Cathedral, offers the best perspective on its new 12 tons steel spire constituted of one rooster and a sphere gilded in gold.
Inside, the beauty of stained glass windows and precious pieces of furniture (a marble altar, a monumental organ, carved wooden pulpits…) will not leave you indifferent.
Classified as a historical monument in 1990.
