As you arrive in Martinique you will have a whole list of places to visit. Start your adventure with your own rental car and enjoy the ride! This alternative will allow you to visit all the best places of the Island from the North to the South on your own schedule.
The car rental companies offer a wide range of cars from small to go around the cities easily to 4x4 for those who are a little bit more adventurous. You’ll have the choice between the international companies as well as the local ones.
Most rental agencies require a minimum age of 21 years, a year of driving practice and asecurity deposit. The rates include basic insurance. It is of course possible to purchase additional insurance for more coverage.
Ferry boat

In Martinique the ferry boat is a means of transport very pleasant amongst others to avoid traffic jams in the city.
The ferry boats are a very pleasant and fast way to visit some of the cities on the Caribbean side of the island. Shuttles operate between Fort-de-France and Trois-Ilets Monday to Sunday from 6:30 am to 10:30 pm.
From Fort-de-France why not take the shuttle to visit Trois-Ilets le Bourg, Pointe du Bout and Anse à l’Âne for a drink in a bar by the water or/and do some shopping in the various little boutiques.
